After dinner drive

Last night after dinner we went for a drive to the Brunswick library. It kind of reminded me of the times when I was still small living with my parents back in Sibu. We would go for after dinner drive around town which was nice. Well that was the times before television came into our lives.

Now our lives seem to be dictated by what's showing on TV! If there's shows we want to see on that night then there's no time for those precious little moments anymore...so sad.

Visiting New Zealand

Even though I’ve been living in Australia for the last 18 years I’ve never been to our neighbor New Zealand which is only a few hour flight away. I really should be thinking of going there one day. Going to the shop

Went into town to get some paints for my model project. The shop I was going had a rock concert right in the front of it! Right smack in the middle of Lonsdale Street and traffic has been blocked on one side so I had to walk all around just to get to my shop.

Outside the shop the owner was arguing with the concert organizers. Apparently they've been telling people they can't get to his shop which made the shop keeper hopping mad. I went into the shop and sure enough it was quieter as usual but at least I got my paints and a needle file as well.

Stupid

Some people are compulsive liars; they just can't help themselves. Every time they open their mouths they have to lie, speak untruth or stretch the truth to put it nicely. I am of course talking about my boss' son Dean. Of all the years I've know him I've never heard him speak the truth. He does it so easily its hard to imagine him speaking any other way.

The latest lie he spoke of was telling us he had to go back to the client to pick up another job. That's the excuse he gave for slacking off work but of course one phone call to the client caught him out red handed. What did he think he could get away from lying to us? Stupid.
